The 12-year incarnation experience in the United States has had a significant impact on my life.
This experience influenced my belief system, and I lost faith in the justice system at an early age and how I view the system and racial equality, among other issues. This situation kept my vibration low due to the element of the situation. When they go behind the wall, so do you and your mental health, emotional growth and well being,
My entire perspective on life changed, how the government could take apart families for such a long and unjust time, which serves no one any good: taxpayers or loved ones.
Post-prison, the 12-year age gap-in-maturity was and will never be regained by chasing lost time and me lowering my vibration to make it fit. It only made life more complicated for both of us.
This shaped my identity and aspirations. I feel so free to be me now, not the wife with the incarcerated husband. I can explore my life without all the guilt and the shame this brings upon families. It’s revered as a huge honor in the black community to stand by this type of family situation, it’s my past and it’s finally over. We share an adult son, daughter, and grandkids. I have no regrets; it was a long lesson learned.
My pholisophy is you either get a lesson or a Blessing in life
Writing this has been a therapeutic part of my spiritual journey. The catalyst for my self-love healing.
